When and how did you become part of the company?
I joined the company in July 2002. When I finished my internship in International Trade in a fruit and vegetable exporting company, I received a call from Isidro, asking if I wanted to do a job interview in a transport company in Molina de Segura. This company was called Paconsa and I didn’t know it at the time. The next morning I did the job interview with Juan Conesa, he introduced me to José Esteban and the next day I started working.
In your opinion, what qualities would you highlight about the company, and what do you think are the values that best define us?
One of the qualities that I would highlight about the company, evolution, always being one step ahead. Over the years, I have learned that to be a benchmark and leader in our sector, what counts is not just what you have achieved, what counts is the project that is on its way. For this reason, we must place great value on everything that is achieved in terms of efficient fleet, in new projects that we know exist and those that we do not know about, new logistics centres, foundations, training, evolution in the conditions of our workers, etc.
I believe that the values that best define us are: Commitment, effort, work, sacrifice.
What do you think is our main strength?
One of Primafrio’s strengths is reliability. Customers can rely on Primafrio with the assurance that both their goods and their business are in safe hands.
After 60 years: what are you most proud of?
After 21 years in the family, what I am most proud of is having contributed to the growth of the company, first in Paconsa and then in Primafrio, from the first 50 trucks, both in my time as head of the traffic department and now in my role as a trainer.
Also the people I have met during all this time, my colleagues, many of whom are great friends, the clients who have placed their trust in my work, as well as the Conesa family for the trust and affection they have shown me since the day I started working.
I would especially like to remember two people who are no longer with us:
Toñi Moreno from the Huelva office, who treated me like a son during the years I was in Lepe doing the strawberry campaign.
Frank Kolter (Garcia Lax) who always trusted me and my work in all the years we worked together.
Do you have any remarkable experiences or moments that you remember in a special way?
The day a downpour of water fell in Molina de Segura and flooded the office. We had to get brooms and start bailing out the water, with our trousers rolled up and to continue providing service to the clients, we organized turns, and on top of the tables we answered the calls.
